There’s a lot of rather special events and workshops coming up, it’s quite good to have all the info in one place. Check out what’s happening in Leeds.
This weekend alone we have:
11th April: Lindy Fridays at the Corn Exchange (7-10pm) @the corn exchange
A very special Lindy Fridays, taster class at 7pm and then lots of social dancing until 10pm. The £2.50 entry includes a free soft drink. Non-dancers welcome to come down and have a look and try it out. Not to be missed.
12th April: Tranky Doo workshop (4-6pm) @the dance studio leeds
At this workshop you’ll learn an authentic jazz choreography, which is mid tempo and good fun Knowledge of some jazz is useful but not required. You’ve probably seen people doing it at social events already. Only £8
13th April: Teapots and Twirls (12-4pm) @interplay in Armley
Free tea, Easter-inspired sweet treats, a charity raffle and egg-strodinarily good live music from The Big Easy! £7 on the door.

Two hour solo charleston workshop, fantastic for beginners and more experienced dancers alike. A good work out and good fun. £8 drop in
19th April: Balboa at Heart (7:30-11:30pm) @Heart in Headingley
An evening of balboa in a great venue with perfect music. The first one was amazing, this one will be even better. Get your ticket in advance – £6.
26th April: M&S – Style Glam and Cycling Sam (11am-3pm) @the M&S Archive near Leeds Uni business school
Free drink and cake with plenty of music, taster classes and performances – an afternoon well spent.
10th May: Shim Sham workshop (2:15-3:15pm) @the dance studio leeds
At this workshop you’ll learn another fantastic jazz choreography from Frankie Manning, pretty much every Lindy Hopper knows this routine (and there are world videos to prove it). £5 drop in
