Footwork Variation of the Fortnight #46!

This fortnight’s variation is the Knee Slap!

Slap that knee (but not too hard!) to highlight any hit in the music on a 7!

Lindy Fridays at the Corn Exchange – 13th October!

The next Lindy Fridays at the Corn Exchange is happening on 13th October!

Lindy Fridays will take place in the fantastic Leeds Corn Exchange, beginning with a short Lindy Hop taster class at 7pm, followed by social dancing until 10pm.  It’s the perfect way to start social dancing if you’ve just started taking classes!

Not only do you get all that wonderful social dancing time but for your £5 entry fee, you’ll also get £2 off food and drink at Primo’s Gourmet Hotdogs!

Details of the event are here and here’s a video of the kind of thing you can expect!

Sharing the Corn Exchange with us this time will be the Gin Society and the wonderful Dr Sid from Manchester will be spinning swinging tunes for both events!  Details of the Gin Society event and how to get tickets can be found in the facebook event.

Free blues dancing at Crowd of Favours just around the corner afterwards with Underbeat Blues!  Facebook event here.

We will also have Lindy Fridays t-shirts for sale at the Corn Exchange, so be sure to bring a bit of extra cash with you!

Lindy Fridays classes will return as normal the following week.

Footwork Variation of the Fortnight #43!

This fortnight’s variation is the Lock Turn!

This variation fits into a 6-beat pass-by rather than a swingout!
Challenge: can you fit it into other places too?
